It only took about an hour for the fog to break.
I sat on the wet mountainside eating lunch waiting.
Raw images exported using RawTherapee (to ensure similar color balancing), panorama was stitched together with opencv. I was pleasantly surprised that opencv only took about 2 seconds to stitch the pair of 6kx4k images without even using my GPU.
